Hoosiers by the NumbersOES Microdata
The Occupation Assignment Engine is built to allow for both direct assignment of SOC codes to wage records as well as indirect methods. In this case, utilizing the Occupation Employment Statistics (now known as Occupation Wage and Employment Statistics) survey micro-data to build out refined staffing patterns for the survey employers, we are using an indirect method of assignment–staffing pattern-like results that can be applied to specific industries.
We provide an in-depth description of how these data were used to model assignments using a detailed, multi-step process that informed the entire occupation engine model process.
